Kasey
Lansdale was born June 24th, 1986 in Nacogdoches, Texas. After
graduating from Nacogdoches High School and attending classes at
Stephen F. Austin State University, she decided to pursue her
musical ambitions. Kasey is also using her talents to write songs,
performing whenever possible. The best known song of these is "Back
of My Smile". This song, along with several others are frequently
broadcast on radio (KJCS 103.3 fm and KYKS 105.1fm).
Kasey has been hailed as the "Country Siren" which helped inspire
the name of her record label: Blue Siren Records.
She has been published in a
major Random House Books anthology and has also begun writing a book
based on strange but true stories of the South.
Kasey
has won several competitions including Star Seeker. She also placed
in the top contestants for Nashville Star. She placed third in the
Americana Festival songwriting contest with "Long King Creek". She
recently returned from Italy after having toured with one of the
most famous Italian musical acts, Subsonica, after being heard on a
documentary about the United States.
She recorded a demo that is
now in the hands of Columbia Records. Kasey is negotiating some
modeling opportunities overseas as well. She recently formed a band
by the name Kasey Lansdale and the Daletones. They have already
begun playing regularly and have a great following. |
